History has a way of connecting everyone’s past with their now and in their future. History has not been pleasant nor fair to anyone. It didn’t matter if you are on the side of favor or dealing with historical disappointments. Given the trajectories of historical disappointments, one can only imagine the truth of one’s origin. My history has its origin on the soil of Central Africa in a village with deep-rooted culture and a history where the leading influences are religion and commercial trading. The communities enjoy the wealth from its knowledge and resources. With slavery being the center focus, many members were familiar with western slave trade exploits. It was a death sentence on this particular day when I went before the community for auction.
